My Poem to Hillary

Here is how the story goes,
About a girl and I who each of you knows.
From the first time I saw her she caught my eye,
But wouldn’t you know it, she was talk’in with some other guy.
I swore that I would talk to her, but would I see her again,
Thank goodness that day I was a motorcycle man.
I parked in the handicapped at the institute,
She saw me on my bike and thought the bike was cute.
I think back on that day and it gives me a smile,
So much has happened since then – it has been awhile.
We laugh about how I lied about my age,
And now look at us – we are Engaged!
There is no one else on earth that makes me happy like her,
And here’s where it get’s mushy – Yes I love her.
Yes, I know not to rhyme two words of the same,
But ignore it, let’s move on, it leads me into her name.
The H of the Hillary that I love,
Is for how handsome I am, oh and she’s as pretty as a dove.
The I is for how she inspires me,
To be a better man – I promised no rated R movie.
The two L’s can get creative on how they are used,
Luscious lips, lucky lady, little lizard, loving lover….I hope you’re amused.
Although the Y ends her name and so it should be,
That I use it at the end of a word…the word Eternity.
Forever I will have this girl that I hold dear,
And listen to my words; listen close if you’re near.
I love this little girl with all of my heart,
I would give anything for her, and hold her close if I’m smart.
We are on a path now that offers so much,
And I’m glad that I am no longer walking it Dutch.

2 years later

It’s been two whole years now, No not three,
Much better than I could have imagined it to be.

So many memories and times to reflect,
That occurred with my sweet Hillary who I love and respect.

I love all the many things that you do,
Like creative pictures that have hidden words to.

This last year has been a great one that we have learned and grown,
Taken good classes to reduce my whines and my moans J.

I really hope that you know that I truly love you so much,
And count my many blessings of your traits and such.

I don’t share it enough – how pretty you are,
I often just marvel of your beauty from a far.

You are the sweetest mother to our Kya so dear,
I can’t wait for the new addition that is near.

What more could a husband ask for when he has confidence in his wife,
That she is right beside him trying their best at this life.

You help me, you guide me, and yes even walk beside me, to help me along the way,
There’s no one else I would want but you, even til we are gray!
